Interesting article. Thank you. I teach Religions of the World and Spirituality and Healing. I’m faculty in the Philosophy Dept. The majority of my students don’t view themselves as religious or spiritual but by the end of both classes, they are transformed, have a new appreciation for religions of the world, their own faith and religion, and the universality of of spirituality. They are all on a journey with a new appreciation and respect for religious differences whether it be Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Taoism, and Native American spirituality and many more. God is too big to fit in one religion. Ignorance of one’s own religion and faith, and religions and faiths different from one’s own is what leads to conflict and distrust. Learning about other religions is healthy.
