I have fond memories of Christmas growing up and of Christmas with my own family. But the children are now adults with their own lives and children. We get together for Christmas every other year and they get together with their spouses’ families on alternate years. A lot of traveling involved. And so my husband and I started a new tradition a couple of years ago when we spent Christmas in St. Thomas and St. John and hiking in Virgin Islands National Park. It was wonderful. Next week we’re off to NM, TX, and AZ to hike in 5 national parks and then to a 48 hour ultramarathon I will be running on my Jan 2 birthday in Arizona. But the one tradition that remains is my baking. I just finished baking for my husband’s oncologist and nurses. Have a blessed Christmas!
